Dr. Hanlon is an incredible acupuncturist!!! He uses many different techniques to help ease the pain. I always felt better after visiting him. He also liked to get to know you, and would make suggestions concerning changes you could make in your daily routine, that would also help you manage your pain.Posted on Google![]()

Phenomenal experience! Facility is nice and relaxing. James takes his time with a comprehensive initial interview so that he fully understands your issues and expectations followed with recommendations for a treatment plan. My son had carpal tunnel like pain and was pain free with 2 sessions. I choose to go more often as it eases my spasticity from MS. Would highly recommend to all.Posted on Google![]()

Shenque Acupuncture is one of the best places to get “poked” in west palm beach. I came to see James for sleep issues 4 years ago and have been coming ever since. If your looking to just feel better or work on something that’s broken this is the place.Posted on Google![]()

I originally tried Shenque Acupuncture after six weeks with a sinus infection. The acupuncture and herbal medicine cleared the infection. I found James Hanlon to be an excellent listener, problem solver and teacher. Helping me to address my body's core challenges, Shenque Acupuncture has enabled me to prevent getting further sinus infections (this was a dis-ease that I had been getting about twice each year.) Also, I have learned to improve my overall quality of life. Thank you, Shenque Acupuncture!Posted on Google![]()

Jim is truly gifted at his craft! His knowledge and expertise as an acupuncturist, his applications of herbal medicine and his client demeanor are unparalleled! I saw Jim recently for a hormonal imbalance. I had difficulties with my menstrual cycles - with only 2 menses over the past 2 years. After 1 treatment with Jim and 2 weeks of Chinese herbs, I have had 2 regular cycles in a row! I also saw him after an 8 day cruise where I was highly fatigued after my travels and again after one session and a week on Chinese herbs, I was back to full strength and vitality! I can I recommend him enough! A true gem!

Yes, we use acupuncture needles and electric stimulation to help recover and prevent damage. Also acupuncture is superior to many medications in pain management because your kidneys and liver are being taxed by the chemo, so you don’t want to add to the problem by using pain meds. Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medicine technique that involves inserting thin needles into specific points on the body to balance the flow of energy or life force — known as qi or chi (CHEE) — believed to flow through pathways (meridians) in your body, promoting the bodies self healing properties, restoring health and relieving pain.
By stimulating the body’s natural healing processes, acupuncture can relieve headaches, back pain, and arthritis to mention a few conditions. It also promotes relaxation and enhances the immune system. Many people find it a holistic alternative to conventional treatments, providing both physical and mental health benefits. Experience the rejuvenating power of acupuncture for a healthier, more balanced life.
Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese medical practice that involves inserting thin needles into specific points on the body.
It is believed that these points are connected to pathways of energy, known as meridians, which run throughout the body. Stimulating these points with needles is thought to help restore balance and health to the body by unblocking any stagnant energy and allowing it to flow freely.
Acupuncture is used to treat a variety of conditions, including pain, digestive issues, stress, anxiety, and insomnia.
The first session usually lasts longer due to the consultation process, typically around 60 to 90 minutes. Subsequent treatments usually last about 30 to 60 minutes.
Acupuncture is generally safe when performed by a certified practitioner. Possible side effects include soreness, minor bleeding or bruising at the needle sites. Serious side effects are rare.
It’s recommended to eat a light meal a few hours before your session and avoid alcohol or sedatives. Wear loose, comfortable clothing and avoid overexertion before and after treatment.
